Hiking alone through the California desert is a daunting task especially in May when its starting to heat up to about 90 degrees. Theres certain places that need to be explored even if the odds are stacked against you with temperature and lack of a hiking partner. So I grabbed a backpack and a bunch of water and went on my way the the magic sanctuary called Joshua Tree, the desert silence and staggering vistas never fail to impress. If its summertime with no wind it almost feels as if your in a vacuum because all the animals and people are hiding and theres no wind to disturb the sparse brush. On the days leading up to my hiking I had been reading about the California Gold Rush learning out of the 300,000 people that rushed to the new promise land the majority didn't make money and many died from the tough lifestyle out here. While walking through these trails it wasn't hard for me to imagine people without a clean source of water and air conditioned car to get back into after your done. As I was walking up to one particular mine I came across some mining equipment that I can only guess lugged out here during the gold rush, among these being the "Chicago Pneumatic"

Materials

Matt Board- We use acid-free mat board to separate your print from the moulding and acrylic.

Foam Core- We mount your print on acid-free foam core backing which keeps the work smooth and supported.

Acrylic- We use acrylic as glazing for your art. Although acrylic is more expensive than glass, we use it because it offers superior UV protection, shipping durability, is lightweight and beautifully clear.

Hanging hardware- We include hanging hardware that's appropriate for the size of your finished art on the back of each frame. Depending on how large your finished piece is, we'll use sawtooth hangers, hanging wire, or corner brackets.

Don't worry, we'll also send the corresponding nails and hooks to get your piece on the wall-all you'll need is a hammer.

Printer and ink- We print on Premium Lustre or Enhanced Matte paper using archival inks.

Moulding- Our frame mouldings are made of solid wood with premium finishes like hand-leafing, veneer, and gesso. We custom cut and join each piece of moulding to fit your art so each frame is truly one of a kind.
